I wrote this song after setting fire to a relationship with my tongue. You know that feeling when you shouldn’t say something but you do; ignoring that little voice of reason and selling your soul to regret? Yeah, it’s that song.

Lyrics

You know that I’m sorry for worryin’ your mind The mouth is a demon, the tongue a landmine A word can be troublin’ or fit for a king
You know hindsight is a funny thing
He'll send you love letters, more now than then
He'll tell you 'bout all the beds, you've been lyin’ in When he says “ I told you” he is just being kind
That man can heal you but he leave a humbled mind
He'll be your doctor, he'll be your curse
He'll be your minister, he'll be your blues verse
He'll turn all the lights on when you don't pay the bill Hell give a cold cup of water when nobody else will
I was with Adam at the height of the fall
I was with Judas, I was hangin with Saul
And at every battle when the blood's flowing thin You'll be guaranteed I'll come round again
You know I’m sorry for worryin’ your mind
But I'm afraid I ain’t leavin’ You see I work all the time And when death mets you at the end of it all
At your illin’ bed, you know he'll make a call
You know that I’m sorry for worryin’ your mind The mouth is a demon, The tongue a landmine A word can be troublin’ or fit for a king
You know hindsight is a funny thing
